Andi and Taffy -- Let the Adventure Begin!

"Is it time to read our chapters yet, Mom?" And so began our journey with Andi and Taffy.

The Princess loves horses -- she and the High School Junior are actually plotting right now to buy a horse together.  She has also learned to read all by herself this year -- and the Andi and Taffy Chapter Books were just perfect for her.  Set in 1834, the Circle C Beginnings books tell the story of a little girl named Andi and her special horse, Taffy.

Published by Kregel Publications, Andi's Scary School Days is written with 6 - 8 years old in mind, but can be enjoyed by children (and adults!) of all ages.  An excellent "first" chapter book, my ten-year-old Princess loved reading all 74 pages and truly couldn't wait to start the next chapter to see what was going to happen.  I was delighted by the story myself.  The FREE coloring and activity pages that were available were a super bonus.  The older siblings even requested to color some of the pages, too.

The Princess says "Andi's Scary School Days is a very good book.  There are some funny parts and some very serious parts.  The funniest part was when Andi was hiding and thought that no one could find her.  Her brother comes up behind her though and finds her!  I really laughed when I read that.   A very serious part of the book was when Andi "sneaked" away from school.  She didn't want to answer to anyone, but she learned that she had too.  Andi was scared of school at first -- and didn't want to be away from home -- but she found out that school could be fun."
