Where JESUS Slept {Book Review & Giveaway} #WhereJesusSlept #FlyBy

I've kept a basket of special books to bring out each year at Christmas for as long as I can remember.  Our collection has grown over the years as I find new books to share with my children and I'm thrilled to add Where JESUS Slept to our basket this year.  I can't wait to share it with my children and the children in our church as soon as December arrives.

Where JESUS Slept  is an absolutely precious book that shares the beauty of the birth of our SAVIOUR.  It is simply written for easy understanding and beautifully illustrated so that children will want to read it again and again.  Beginning with a manger lined with straw that acts as the bed for JESUS and introducing Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, and angels, the book progresses to the arrival of the Wise Men bearing gifts.  (One thing to note about the book:  In it, the Wise Men visit JESUS in the stable in Bethlehem.  When I read it aloud at church, I'll remind the children that JESUS was actually a toddler upon their arrival.)  I am excited to add this beautiful book to our family's Christmas tradition.

About the book:  “This is the bed where JESUS slept. This is the straw that lined the bed where JESUS slept.” From here, the story builds with each spread, adding a new element and explaining the relationships among the participants and witnesses to the first Christmas. From JESUS sleeping sweetly to the Wise Men bringing gifts, this charming book reminds readers young and not-so-young of the joyous event we celebrate at Christmastime. Children will love the delightful illustrations and the engaging repetition in this cumulative tale.
