it is well with my soul

I am tired.  I feel weary.  I could probably sleep for hours on end and still wake up feeling worn out.  My sweet MainMost keeps trying to send me to the doctor for a complete physical--whatever that may be.  I haven't actually gone to the doctor for myself in years.  I do run a most excellent taxi service and have taken several of the McBlessings to the doctor in the past few months, but I'm not sure that a doctor is really where my answers will be found.

Next week the MainMost and I will have the privilege of taking off for a few days.  We are going to REFUGE--a worship retreat put on by StudentLife for youth ministers and their spouses.  We will have the opportunity to spend a few nights with my Sweet College Roommate and her husband--I am so looking forward to that adult conversation time.   I am also hoping that the MainMost and I will get to eat out and find face time to talk with one another.  It will be a special treat to have my MainMost all to myself--none of the McBlessings listening in, no sports events to watch them participate in.

The WORSHIP will be awesome as well:  David Platt, Chris Tomlin, Kristian Stanfill, Louie Giglio . . . I know that GOD will speak through them all and there will surely be refreshing for the soul--my soul!  I am tired, I am weary, but my DADDY will continue to hold me close and hold me up.  May my life glorify HIM--even when I am tired.  Thankfully, HE is never too tired for me.
        When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
when sorrows like sea billows roll;
whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul.

It is well with my soul,
it is well, it is well with my soul.
