It's HOMECOMING Week at two of our local schools. Riding through town, the McBlessings have delighted in seeing all of the rolled houses. (My oldest even went so far as to say that having our house rolled is probably the one thing she misses by being educated at home--go figure!) SO, imagine their complete surprise and amazement when they went outside and found that someone had indeed rolled our yard! It was fun watching their faces light up--but even better hearing great vocabulary words like "ambience" and "laudable" come out of their mouths when describing the cool toilet paper hanging from the trees.Packed with mnemonic cartoons for 290 vocabulary words, Vocabulary Cartoons: SAT Word Power offers a quick and easy way to learn new words or refresh vocabulary skills--and help prepare your high schoolers for the SAT. There are even Reviews built in after every ten words studied--matching and fill-in-the-blank questions to test your memory. I've enjoyed watching the girls smile together as they learn--part of what "enraptures" me with Vocabulary Cartoons: SAT Word Power. This book has been a great addition to our school as we continue our quest to make learning fun! You can spend a few minutes laughing and learning by looking at the sample of mnemonic cartoons here. You can also look at the complete word list covered in the book.
With a targeted audience of 7th - 12th graders, Vocabulary Cartoons: SAT Word Power sells for $12.95. Check out http://www.vocabularycartoons.com for vocabulary building books for elementary aged children as well. The entire family can get in on the fun of learning new words.
