Goodbye Passages

There's a rite of passage from Middle School Ministry to High School Ministry and we celebrate it every year as our 8th graders prepare to move up.  We begin with a time of reflection as they share with us things they've learned over the past three years -- and as they pass on advice to those coming behind.

Then we clothe them in white oversized t-shirts . . .

And cover them with love.

It is our prayer that these shirts will become treasures of HOPE.

We finish our farewell with prayer as we send them off to high school.

For three years we pour into these students and it is hard to say goodbye.

"For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD.  "Plans to prosper you, and not to harm you.  Plans to give you a HOPE and a FUTURE."  Jeremiah 29:11
