FROM THE GARDEN -- July BlogChallenge #bloggingthroughJuly #summerchallenge

I've never in my life had a garden of my own and probably never will, but my in-laws have a beautiful garden each year and they are generous in sharing the bounty from it with us.  There are butter beans and corn and squash in my freezer that they have sent my way along with jellies and pickles and tomato sauces in my cabinets that my mother-in-love has canned.  We are blessed by her mad gardening skills each year.

Last night, the MainMost brought home a mess of snap beans, a few tomatoes, and some peppers.  I sat right down and got them ready to cook.  This is my bountiful blessing from the garden:

Doesn't it all look delicious?  Such pretty colors.  We're cooking the beans with new potatoes and bacon grease and freezing the peppers for casseroles and fajitas.  Those pretty tomatoes will be long gone by tomorrow because there's a sandwich to be made and my daughter has already staked her claim.
