The Gospel of John -- The Lumo Project #JohnonNetflix

As it is written . . .
I can't tell you how many times I have read the beautiful book of John from the New Testament. Every time I open it and begin, my heart skips in anticipation.
In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with GOD, and the WORD was GOD.

Oh, AMEN and AMEN and AMEN.

Those words are powerful.  They give me chills every time I read them.  In the beginning, JESUS was present.  In the beginning, HE was willing.  In the beginning, HE was prepared to die for me.

Can you imagine?  The ONE who came to save the world, did it for me.  And for you.  And HE knew from the very beginning what would be required of HIM -- because of me, because of you, because of us.   What LOVE.  HE walked in love and gave it all and set us an example of what we should do for others.  "If you love one another . . ."

I have had the distinct privilege this week of watching the words of John come alive as the people of the greatest story ever told stepped right off of the pages of Scripture and into my life in a unique way.  The Gospel of John arrives on Netflix soon for the whole world to SEE JESUS in a unique way through the work of The Lumo Project.  You are definitely going to want to see this film.

Available in three different versions (the King James translation of the Bible, the New International Version translation of the Bible, and in Spanish), The Gospel of John is simply a must-see for all Christians that  offers a simple way to share the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE.  I am truly stunned and amazed and in awe of my SAVIOR.

About the film:
FOUR GOSPELS. FOUR FILMS. ONE JESUS STORY. FOR EVERYONE.
A ground breaking, multi-language biblical film resource transforming the way we discover, study and engage with the life of JESUS through the four New Testament Gospels.  The Lumo Project is a ground breaking, multi-language biblical film resource transforming the way we discover, study and engage with the life of JESUS through the four New Testament Gospels: redefining the standard of visual Biblical media. The Lumo Project presents four films – one for each Gospel account – that will revolutionise the way we all experience the story of JESUS and the world of First Century Palestine in which he lived.

What a special way to study GOD's Word.  The beautiful cinematography, the soothing narration straight from Scripture, the faces of the people who surround JESUS.  This is a first-class production that stirs my heart and captures my emotions.  Watching JESUS call Lazarus forth from the grave and seeing his gray palor after four days in a tomb was phenomenal.  Seeing the life return to his face after coming face-to-face with the GIVER OF LIFE brought tears of joy.

THE GOSPEL OF JOHN
The Gospel of John takes the story of JESUS from John’s gospel with its own unique characteristics. For John, JESUS is the Word of GOD made human. John is clear that when  we encounter JESUS, we encounter GOD.  The gospel writer points to the miracles and teachings as evidence of JESUS’ special relationship as the divine Son of  GOD
.
This full-length feature film about the life of JESUS takes the actual Gospel text as its script, word for word, unedited.  And that's it.  There are no voiceovers, no speeches.  It's all GOD's WORD living and breathing for us.

Five years in the making, this epic production has been critically acclaimed by leading religious scholars as a unique and highly authentic telling of the JESUS story. TRULY, THE ONLY STORY WE NEED.

Narrated by leading British actor David Harewood (of Homeland, Blood Diamond, and Merchant of Venice acclaim) it is based on the latest theological, historical and archaeological research. With specially constructed sets and the extraordinarily authentic villages and countryside of rural Morocco, it immerses the viewer in the world of first century Palestine.  The Gospel of John is a visual delight and offers a refreshing look at LOVE incarnate.
