Rooted and Grounded in LOVE

Who doesn't want their children to be rooted and grounded in the love of their HEAVENLY FATHER?  As a mom, a home educator and a Christian, that is my ULTIMATE goal for my children.  And it's the very thing I have worried about the most as we began this school year.  My oldest child is a SENIOR this year and it has hit me much harder {and in a much bigger way} than I ever imagined it would.

Is she ready for the "real world?" Is she prepared for what LIFE will throw her way? Does she know enough about who she is in CHRIST to stand tall among the friends and enemies to come?  Have we taught her enough and given her enough opportunity to nail it all down and simply KNOW what she KNOWS to be true and noble and right and pure and lovely and admirable and excellent and praiseworthy?

I have to think that these are the very questions that many parents wonder and worry  about and the very questions that have moms and dads PRAYING without CEASING the world over.  I can't help but pray that we would all welcome ways to KNOW that our children KNOW.  These questions have been weighing on my heart,  but I feel blessed to have found help in Deeper Roots Publications.



Deeper Roots Publications is a  ministry of former missionaries Howard and Bonnie Lisech which offers resources for Missions and Evangelism as well as Bible Curriculum for middle schoolers, high schoolers, college students and adults.  I have been blessed to study their amazing curriculum Rooted and Grounded:  A Guide for Spiritual Growth alongside my high school daughters.  Both my Senior and my Sophomore have jumped into this topical Bible study and are excited to have GOD speak to them through its pages.  I am thrilled to see the delight they have taken in studying GOD's WORD closely.



The year-long study course is divided into 27 Lessons which offer a multitude of learning tools.  (Check out the Scope and Sequence for yourself HERE.) 

Each lesson is broken down in the following ways:

• daily prayer focus


• doctrinal study


• introductions to unreached people groups through profiles and maps


• Bible memorization challenges


• in-depth Bible verse study with focused long-answer questions

My Senior Daughter has such a servant's heart.  She has served on mission teams in Mexico and Guatemala and feels that GOD is calling her to a life of serving HIM through missions.  My Sophomore Daughter is a gifted artist. Both of the girls have been touched deeply by the beautiful drawings intertwined throughout Rooted and Grounded:  A Guide for Spiritual Growth -- drawings of people from around the world who need to know the love of JESUS.  They enjoy their time studying the pages of this book that directs them to study the pages of HIS BOOK and drawing closer to GOD themselves.  I enjoy watching them pour over GOD's WORD and delight in who HE is.
