My Soul Loves {Scripture & a Snapshot} #attitudeofgratitude #letsgetrealyall #gratitude

I love this picture of my husband's parents.  What a beautiful expression of LOVE it is as my mother-in-love takes the hand of my father-in-love and gently leads him through the busy-ness of life.   He has been a tower of strength for her over the years as she battled breast cancer (and won) and now she is able to be his source of strength as he battles something akin to Parkinson's Disease.  Truly they embody the words "help meet" from Genesis.

Even more, I love this family photo taken on Thanksgiving.  It overwhelms me with the same LOVE that I see above.  What a legacy they have been granted, and this isn't even all of us.  My son had to leave for work right before this picture was taken.  My daughter and son-in-love were unable to be with us this year due to work schedules.  Our nephew wasn't able to make it home from out of state.  There are 23 of us all together and GOD's not finished yet.  How cool is that?

Another cool thing about this picture is that old white house in the background.  That's the house that my father-in-love grew up in.  We gather at the homeplace a couple of times a year because family is important.  No matter where life takes you, your family loves you.  That's what coming home is really all about.

I pray that my own children will never forget that WE are HOME because WE are FAMILY.

And to think, it starts with two people falling in LOVE.

I'm joining with my friend Jennifer over at a glimpse of our life as we give glory to GOD through our photos.
