The Plans I Have For You {book review & giveaway} #PlansIHave #flyby

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD.  "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a HOPE and a FUTURE."

If you know anything about me at all, you know that Jeremiah 29:11 has long been my favorite Bible verse.  I have taught it to it to my children at home and have taught it to the kids that have come through my ministries for the past 25 years.  I love that GOD has a plan for my life and I want everyone I know to understand that key promise.  I love knowing that HIS plan is better than any other plan out there.  I have lived my life trying to make sure that I follow GOD's plan -- Plan A -- for who I am supposed to be.  My biggest fear is arriving in Heaven and hearing GOD say that while Plan B (my plan) worked out and was "okay", HE had so much more for me with Plan A (HIS plan).

It is my heartfelt mission to share GOD's plan with everyone I know -- especially my children.  Amy Parker's new Devotional and JournalThe Plans I Have For You, is a great tool for children to physically begin dreaming about their future as they focus on faith, love, joy and JESUS.   It encourages creativity as it helps you recognize that GOD has a plan and purpose for each of us.

The 90-day Devotional is bright and colorful and user-friendly with funky fonts that make it super-inviting.  Divided into 6 sectors of 15 days each, students dive into GOD's Word through Scripture, explanations, discussions, and questions to ponder as they look at GOD's PLAN and PURPOSE for their lives realizing HE doesn't do things small.  What a perfect reminder that there is absolutely NOTHING that you can't do with GOD by your side.  HE will help you find the ONE thing that HE has created you to do.  In bite-sized chunks, the Devotional is perfect for learning to spend time with GOD and enjoy every moment.

The Journal offers a complementary hands-on activity guide to the Devotional.  It really takes kids a step further in their understanding and walk with GOD as they process what they've read through fill-in-the-blank questions, lists, doodles, and creative writing exercises with a fun twist.  The cheerful illustrations help students build a lasting foundation for quiet times spent in relationship with GOD.  It encourages creativity and focus on GOD's plan for your life.

  1. gift or use it? I'd have to actually see it to make the determination. if I used it... would be with my 10 year old. If I gifted it... I'd have to think on that a bit.
