Girl Scout Cookie Time!

Guess what time it is?  Girl Scout Cookies are officially on sale today.

Cookies!

It's hard to believe that we've been involved in Girl Scouts for 15 years at my house -- and we have 4 more to go before all three of my girls will have earned their Gold Award and Farewelled out of Girl Scouts.  That's quite a legacy of scouting virtue.

Girl Scout Cookies are a traditional part of our Girl Scouting experience.  And this year, I only have one daughter selling.  WOW.  There were years when all three were selling.  Whew -- that was hard work. 

The picture above is from quite a few years ago.  We don't even sell Animal Treasures anymore.  I have pictures each year with my girls sitting with the cases of cookies and it sure is fun to watch how they've grown.  

If you are interested in purchasing cookies, I'll be happy to hook you up.   Wherever you live, please support a local Girl Scout.  The lessons learned through scouting are priceless.

It's that time again! Time to stock your freezer with your favorite cookies for the year!

Thin Mints- "enough" said

Trefoils- the original shortbread cookie

Samoas- the vanilla cookie with caramel on top and bottom, rolled in toasted coconut and striped with a rich cocoa coating

Do-Si-Do's- The oatmeal peanut butter crèmes

Tag-Alongs- The peanut butter patties covered with chocolate

The cookies are $3.75 a box, they freeze well, and will be delivered beginning the week of February 24.
