Farmer's Market

Today was my first experience at the local Farmer's Market and I was a tad bit out of my element. My trips to Guatemala and Thailand conjure up weird memories of striking a deal for great bargains, but today was much easier as all prices are set (and in currency I'm familiar with -- that definitely does help).

I picked up some delicious goodies this morning and they made for a most excellent breakfast for us. Doesn't that plate of fresh cantaloupe, homemade tea cakes, and chocolate milk look delicious?

It was a bountiful haul of deliciousness and I'm so glad I got to go.  Now to slice a hunk of my fresh Amish cheese . . .

Pure perfection.

  1. Always check with Farm in Progress at the McComb market. They are pesticide and herbicide free! I buy a share each year so I get ten lbs of produce a week and I love it! They always have extra to sell at the market and I go to their booth first then check others to find what I need! I love the cheeses I've tried from the Liberty dairy too!
