Domestic Goddess Failure

One of my blogging friends had a yummy looking recipe posted today and I decided it would be the perfect start for our day.  I mixed and chopped and had the most wonderfully smelling batter in a bowl ready to cook up for breakfast.

And then I poured some into my skillet and it flopped.  Like really flopped.  It still tasted good, but looked hideous.  SO . . . I had the great idea to try it in my waffle iron instead.  And it flopped again.

Two strikes down, I decided that we'd see if the 3rd time was really the charm.  I poured the entire concoction in a 9 x 13 dish and just let it bake in the oven.  Not too shabby.  The kids have been snacking on a moist apple oatmeal "cake" now all day long -- and they seem to like what they are eating.

YAY -- SUCCESS . . . finally.

Reminds me that GOD never gives up on me.  Though I may fail and I may flop, HE keeps trying and molding and making me into just the perfect shape.  HIS plan never fails -- just like HIS love.

And that's enough for me.
